The Kennedy School Building is available for a business to start or expand in. The city of Kennedy has purchased the building. Business placement is being actively pursued. If you would like more information on having a business in the building, please contact the city office. The Kennedy EDA has established a Revolving Loan fund to assist businesses in locating in the city limits.

The city of Kennedy participates in the JOBZ program in which new businesses could qualify for property tax exemptions, sales tax exemptions and other corporate and personal taxes. Either click on the logo below or contact the city office for more information.


The Cafe-hometown restaurant with great home-cooked meals.  Lunch specials every day. Located on Hwy. 75 and open Monday-Friday from 7 am - 3 pm.

Farmer's Elevator-locally owned elevator to service the agricultural needs of the Red River Valley.

Gateway Super Service-full service station with grocery and convenience items. Car wash and detailing also available.

Citizen's State Bank-a full service business to handle all your banking needs.

Johnson Oil Cardtrol-24 hour self serve gas and diesel pumps. Credits cards accepted.

Cenex Harvest States-CHS Elevator-buying to marketing grain, they meet any need for the valley farm.

United Valley Bank-branch office with the main office located in Hallock, MN.

Kittson Equipment-full scale implement dealer providing farm machinery to Kittson County and beyond.

VFW Post #3828-located on East 5th Street.  On and off sale liquor with different fun events throughout the year.  The Middle Room is a nice setting for banquets, receptions birthdays, anniversaries, and meetings.
